About the Role
We're looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Systems & Data Manager to join HMC at an exciting time in our digital transformation journey.
At HMC, we're committed to making effective, secure and innovative use of data and technology to support our members, colleagues and strategic ambitions. Our systems and data sit at the heart of everything we do—from member engagement and professional learning to governance, communications and organisational decision-making.
Reporting to the Chief Financial and Operations Officer, this is a pivotal organisation-wide role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. As our Systems & Data Manager, you'll lead the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of our CRM, business systems and data management, ensuring our information is accurate, secure, accessible and used to its full potential.
Acting as HMC's subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and our Member Portal, you'll work collaboratively with colleagues across every department to improve reporting, streamline processes, introduce automation and champion the effective use of technology. You'll help shape the future of our digital systems, supporting smarter ways of working through Microsoft 365, the Power Platform and emerging AI technologies.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technology, data and people to solve problems, improve organisational performance and influence positive change. You'll be equally comfortable analysing data, leading systems improvements, managing external suppliers and helping colleagues build the confidence to make better use of the tools and information available to them.
If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely shape the way an organisation uses data and technology while making a meaningful contribution to one of the world's leading educational membership organisations, we'd love to hear from you.
What You Will Be Doing
- Act as HMC's lead administrator and subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and our Member Portal.
- Develop and improve CRM functionality, workflows, integrations and business systems that support efficient ways of working.
- Lead the development of dashboards, reports and business intelligence using Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Design automated processes using Microsoft Power Automate and other digital technologies to improve efficiency.
- Drive improvements in data quality, governance and information management across the organisation.
- Coordinate CRM enhancements, system developments and smaller technology projects from concept through to implementation.
- Work with colleagues to review and improve business processes before introducing new technology and automation.
- Provide expert advice, training and support to colleagues, helping them become confident users of our systems and data.
- Support organisational decision-making by analysing data and presenting meaningful management information.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and consultants supporting CRM, reporting and business systems.
- Champion innovation by identifying opportunities to use AI, automation and emerging technologies to enhance organisational effectiveness.
About You
You'll enjoy working with both people and technology and be equally comfortable analysing complex data, managing projects and explaining technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
You'll ideally bring:
- Significant experience administering and developing CRM systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience developing dashboards, reporting solutions and business intelligence.
- A strong understanding of data governance, GDPR and information management.
- Experience leading systems, data quality or business process improvement projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships across an organisation and with external suppliers.
- Experience delivering user training and encouraging the adoption of new technologies.
- A proactive, curious mindset with an interest in AI, automation and digital innovation.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, SharePoint, or within a membership, education or not-for-profit environment would be an advantage
