Pupil Support Assistant
Hours: Part-time, term time only, 30 hours per week
Contract: Fixed-term contract until July 2026
Salary: £20,480 per annum (£31,000 FTE)

The role
South Hampstead High School is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and caring Pupil Support Assistant to join our dedicated team on a fixed-term basis.
In this role, you will provide 1:1 support for a pupil with an EHCP for Type 1 diabetes, including monitoring and managing daily medical care. You will also support the pupil in their learning, helping with concentration and managing co-occurring anxiety as needed.
You will have experience working with children in an educational or care setting and will have provided both pupil-focused support and light administrative assistance to SEND, medical, or pastoral teams. A genuine passion for helping pupils with medical needs is essential, along with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
This is a part-time position for 30 hours per week, term-time only. Flexibility is required as the role may include offsite and residential trips.
