Overview Of Our School

Holy Trinity is a happy, successful, diverse and inclusive school set in extensive and secluded grounds in Richmond, Surrey. We are a two-form entry primary school with our own nursery which, alongside our adjacent Reception classes, provide an outstanding start to early years’ education.

We value each child as a unique individual and, by providing rich and engaging learning experiences, aim to ignite a life-long love of learning and to equip pupils with the tools and knowledge to fulfil their potential.

In keeping with our Christian foundation, we nurture the values of aspiration, love and community and encourage the children to discover and develop their gifts and talents so they can make a positive contribution to the world around them.

In July 2015 Ofsted recognised Holy Trinity as an 'outstanding school'.

About Our School

Holy Trinity’s curriculum is intended to promote aspiration in children, to do their very best. Our intake is diverse, so our teaching provides support or challenge as appropriate. Our latest school census shows we have 35 different first languages spoken, 37% of pupils have EAL, 11% have SEN and 13% are PPG.

We provide strong enriching experiences for our children through school outings, Forest School activities and residential trips in Years 5 and 6. Pupils benefit from a purpose-fitted science lab, a music room, junior and infant libraries, a computer suite and shared areas for art and DT lessons. Wide-ranging after-school clubs are a highlight for many, as is the school orchestra and two popular choirs. Sport is taught on site and children take part in team competitions at local and borough level as well as in our annual Sports Day.

Holy Trinity has a welcoming feel and works hard to involve our community and neighbours. Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in the life of their children’s school. Our PTA is active and effective, bringing together families both for fundraising and pleasure.

Our governors are engaged and supportive, bringing a wide range of expertise to the task of school improvement.

Our pupils are happy and enjoy being at Holy Trinity. 83% say they enjoy school and 78% say they enjoy learning. High standards of behaviour are the norm and pupils are rewarded for positive actions in line with our values. Every week awards are made to the values champions – children who have demonstrated love, aspiration or community in their conduct.

Why Work With Us

We look to recruit high calibre and enthusiastic team players, with integrity, commitment and a passion for education, for both teaching and non-teaching positions

Holy Trinity takes the development and wellbeing of our staff very seriously. Thanks to a broad and stimulating programme of individual and whole school CPD and a clear and consistent appraisal scheme, we aim to ensure outstanding teaching and learning for our pupils, whatever their starting point and regardless of their background. Just as we nurture our children, we provide a kind and respectful working environment where we value our staff’s wellbeing, listen to their ideas and treat personal situations with sensitivity.

We are proud of our good staff retention and that life-long friendships develop in our staffroom.
