About Us

Horizons College is an exciting and unique, specialist facility for young adults aged 16-25 who have severe or profound multiple learning difficulties and / or complex needs

The College provides a holistic learning programme for young people which is challenging, relevant and fun to support individual progression and preparation for adulthood. It is specifically aimed at learners with a range of learning and physical disabilities including those with complex medical and therapeutic needs and/or sensory processing difficulties. Some may have additional complex social and behavioural related needs.

In order to meet this wide range of needs learners require a specialist provision including: purposely designed accommodation, access to a range of expert and multi-agency support such as physiotherapists and occupational therapists, visually and hearing impaired specialists amongst others.

Brunel Education is a subsidiary to Brunel Academies Trust which is a 0 - 25 multi-academy trust specialising in the special education sector. The Trust has the experience, skills and expertise to focus on special education enabling the development of diverse quality provisions while maintaining high standards and performance which will improve the life chances and outcomes of children and young people with SEND.

The Trust’s vision is to deliver this aspirational specialist approach through a “boutique” MAT which values and recognises the need for each specialist provision to be creative and unique to ensure they meet the individual needs of the children and young people.
