This is a Fixed-term role, initially to 21 July 2023.

36 Hours a week, term time only (8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Academic Mentor to join the team at Kenyngton Manor Primary School. As an Academic Mentor you will be a critical member of the school team, working alongside the pupils’ teacher to provide tuition for those who need it most. You will provide tailored support in literacy, numeracy and science across a variety of subjects.

The post-holder will work, collaboratively with the classroom teachers to mentor students/pupils to help them to progress in their subjects through small group tuition.    Enabling students to close any learning gaps they have and enable them to catch up with their peers.  There is a particular focus on disadvantaged students. Mentoring in agreed areas of the curriculum (in a given subject) with the small group of students in a variety of ways. They will provide support and give feedback to the students on their work and progress. Feeding back to and working with the intervention lead in each school.
