Job Opportunity: Caretaker
Knaphill Lower School are seeking a part-time Caretaker to join our fantastic site team. You will work alongside our current Premises Officer and Facilities Manager, ensuring the upkeep of our buildings and grounds, and playing a key role in site security and Health and Safety. Working Hours and Salary
Hours: 12 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
Flexible Start/Finish Times: For operational purposes either,
- 7:30 am to 11:30 am
- 11:30 am to 3:30 pm
Contract: 52 weeks
Annual Leave: 26 days for the first 2 years
Actual Annual Salary: £8,091 (FTE £24,275, Grade 4.2)
Job Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Caretaker, Site/Premises Manager, or in a similar role
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ideal Candidate:
- Proficient in DIY skills for minor repairs
- Knowledgeable in correct manual handling and lifting procedures
- Physically fit to manage the demands of the role
- Familiar with Health and Safety regulations relevant to premises management
- Flexible, with a positive can-do attitude and a team-oriented mindset
- Committed to acting with integrity, honesty, and loyalty
