We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Assistant Curriculum Lead in English to support our forward‑thinking English department and work alongside our outstanding team of Literature and Language specialists. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced English teacher looking to take the next step in their career. You will have a passion for English and a commitment to delivering and supporting engaging, high‑quality lessons across the curriculum. We are looking for someone who can spark curiosity, foster a love of reading and writing, and empower students to achieve excellent outcomes. You will play a key role in shaping an enriching curriculum, supporting colleagues, and driving continued excellence within the department.
Our curriculum will endeavour to provide pupils with the powerful knowledge, which can too often be hidden from view. In doing so, our aim is to provide students with the knowledge to make the implicit, explicit. The powerful knowledge curriculum in English will be deliberately and coherently sequenced to take the shape of a chronological narrative; a narrative that aims to support pupils in making sense of both the literary canon and texts from across a rich, cultural spectrum of literature.
