We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and confident ‌Art Technician‌‌‌ to join our team at Hazel Grove High School. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in education, whether you're considering a career in teaching or already have experience working with young people. As a ‌Art Technician‌‌‌, you will be responsible for supporting the Art Department with administration tasks. This duty includes photocopying as necessary, laminating resources, collating and organising supporting lesson resources, and creating photographic archives of students work.

This position is contracted on a 20 hours per week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks

Job Purpose 

  • Provide an efficient and effective technician support service to the school Art Department.
  • Assist the Display Coordinator on whole school display

Key Skills & Experience

  • Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent 
  • Specialist Art Technician/school experience 
  • A-level Qualification in an Art Specialism is advantageous
