We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and confident ‌Intervention and Inclusion Specialist‌‌‌ to join our team at Laurus Ryecroft. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in education, whether you're considering a career in teaching or already have experience working with young people.

This is a fantastic role for someone passionate about providing targeted intervention and support to students who struggle to manage their behaviour and/or approach to learning in class. If you are committed to an inclusive education and have the skills to work collaboratively with pastoral teams and external agencies across the school, to meet the needs of these students, we would love to hear from you.

This position is contracted on a 37 hours per week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks

Job Purpose 

  • To provide targeted intervention and support to students who struggle to manage their behaviour  and/or approach to learning in class.
  • To work collaboratively with pastoral teams and external agencies across the school, to meet the  needs of these students, whilst also mitigating the impact that they have on the learning and  progress of others within the classroom environment.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
  • Possess prior experience within a similar role
