Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic, and confident ‌Learning Support Assistant‌‌‌‌‌ to join our team at Laurus Ryecroft. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in education, whether you're considering a career in teaching or already have experience working with young people. As a ‌Learning Support Assistant‌‌‌‌‌, you will be responsible for Act as keyworker for students with SEND in order to support their progress throughout school.

We have two roles available contracted up to 34.5 hours per week Term Time Only basis. We have a Permanent and Fixed-Term role available, please specify in the additional questions section which role you are applying. 

Job Purpose 

• Support identified students within the classroom environment, within small group situations.
• Work with teachers to enhance student progress, whilst also promoting their independence, self- esteem and social inclusion. 

Key Skills & Experience

• Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
• Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous.
• Ideally possess prior experience within a similar role.
