Actual Salary - £11,624 per annum

5 hours, 20 mins per day: 09.00 – 15.05 Monday to Friday (45 mins for lunch)

Term time (39 weeks per year)

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our large and well respected Learning Support department.

The successful candidate will be able to work with students in a small group within a mainstream classroom as directed by SENDCo or a member of the teaching staff. The post holder will also provide support during academic transfers/personal care needs as required by the child.

Key responsibilities:

· To provide agreed support to the teacher in the delivery of planned whole class learning activities.

· To help and prepare, monitor and maintain a safe and secure learning environment in line with the teacher’s lesson plans.

Our vision statement clearly describes our ‘Journey to Excellence’ and we are ambitious to move from ‘good to outstanding’ in all aspects of our work at the college. Our latest Ofsted inspection in October 2018 highlighted our many strengths and rated us as good in all areas.

We have a very strong commitment to the professional development of all our staff and everyone is supported in continuously developing their own practice.

The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build relationships quickly with students, parents/carers and staff.

If you have the drive and energy to make a real difference for our students, and if Ivanhoe College and this role sound like the ideal next step in your career, I hope you will feel encouraged to apply. You can find further information about the application process, closing date and provisional interview date(s) in the attached recruitment pack.
