Science Teacher – on a temporary contract starting from Monday 23 February 2026 – maternity cover up to one year.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Science Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and effective teacher to join our Good academy. The Cedars Academy Science department currently teachers KS3 through to KS5, with all three Sciences at A Level. There are nine specialist, passionate teachers in our department, with an even spread across the three disciplines. We have a new, state of the art, £5 million Science block, and are very proud of our facilities.
The sense of community is key at the academy, and we always welcome new teachers warmly and with enthusiasm. We firmly believe in academic excellence for all no matter background, and work as a team to get the very best outcomes for our pupils, whilst also placing huge value in their holistic development.
