📢 Job Role: Art and Design Technician
📍 Location: The Newbridge School
📅 Contract: 35 Hours per week - 40 Weeks per year - Permanent
💼 Salary: Grade 6 £13.46 Per Hour - Actual Salary £21,580.00
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Art and Design department by ensuring the effective organisation, preparation, and maintenance of resources, equipment, and learning environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting both staff and students, helping to create a productive, safe, and inspiring creative space.
This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting student learning in a practical and creative environment. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently in a busy setting.
Key Tasks:
Prepare, set up, and clear away materials and equipment for lessons
Maintain clean, safe, and organised workspaces and equipment
Manage stock, issue materials, and process deliveries and orders
Support practical sessions, including use of specialist equipment
Assist students individually or in small groups to support learning
Help create teaching resources, displays, and exhibitions
Support departmental administration, including moderation preparation
Promote and ensure adherence to health and safety practices
Provide proactive support to the Art and Design team as needed
