Longford Park Primary Academy at as truly exciting place to learn. No day is ever the same and there is always something new to discover. Our beautiful, new Gloucestershire Learning Alliance (GLA) Multi-Academy Trust school and nursery opened in the heart of Longford in September 2017 and has already developed a reputation as an excellent choice for local children. We are all flying high at Longford Park!

Longford Park Little Learners provides high quality nursery and pre-school provision for 2, 3 and 4 year olds in a thoughtfully designed and well-resourced purpose built area of the school building. This provides a rich play-based curriculum focused on exploration and discovery within a safe and nurturing environment. The dedicated nursery manager oversees this exciting learning experience and works closely with the school Reception staff to ensure pre-school children are fully prepared to meet the challenges of their next stage. The school building is beautifully designed with an emphasis on light and space, whilst boasting a great outdoor environment. The spacious classrooms enable the school to grow to 210 pupils, whilst the shared areas provide room for additional learning and useful collaborative space.

Our exciting and innovative curriculum will actively engage the children as successful learners and our positive ethos and culture will ensure that children understand their responsibilities for themselves and for each other.

At Longford Park Primary Academy we actively seek to celebrate our children being their best in all that they do, recognising when milestones have been reached and by rewarding hard work. By recognising and rewarding endeavour and determination, we ensure that our children no matter their ability or background can achieve their best. This positive culture of high expectations and being the best in all that we do ensures that children can achieve their potential and flourish.

The GLA is a small Trust of eight schools (soon to be nine): Badsey First Primary School, Bishops Cleeve Primary Academy, Great Oldbury Primary Academy, Rowanfield Junior School, Rowanfield Infant School, Springbank Primary Academy, Longford Park Primary Academy and Tredington Primary School. The Trust will be opening another school in Bishops Cleeve, 2025, called Greenacres.

Over the last five years, the GLA has developed a positive reputation for quality-first teaching and learning, sharing the immense expertise, talent and experience across the individual academies, working with schools in special measures as well as supporting schools through bespoke training.
