Fixed Term Contract until end August 2022

Garfield Road, Addlestone, KT15 2NP

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, proactive, skilled and reliable individual to take on the role of School Caretaker at Darley Dene Primary School. We believe this is a great opportunity for an individual with proven building and maintenance experience, ideally within a school environment to join our friendly, inclusive and aspirational team of teaching and support staff.

The successful candidate will provide a security and caretaking service to the school and manage a high level of maintenance of the school buildings and grounds. They will work with external contractors for both emergency and routine matters and facilitate the estates management of the school and external events/lettings. They will work closely with the School Business Manager to ensure cost effective use of materials and equipment, carry out risk assessments, maintain maintenance schedules and monitor performance of outside contractors.

It is essential the successful candidate can organise their own workload and effectively prioritise tasks whilst having a flexible approach to their work. They must enjoy working as part of a team, be adaptable and supportive of colleagues. They must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

Darley Dene Primary School is part of the Lumen Learning Trust. For more information about the school or the Lumen Learning Trust itself, please look at our website.
