An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Finance Manager to work as a member of the finance team within the Lumen Learning Trust. The Trust currently consists of seven member schools, based across Surrey - in Shepperton, Ashford, Staines-upon-Thames, Addlestone, Walton-on-Thames and Epsom. The post will be based at Saxon Primary School in Shepperton and is a permanent, part-time role - 15 hrs per week to be worked over 3 days/ 38 weeks per year. (Term Time + 5 INSET days).

Under the direction of the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager will provide efficient administrative and financial management support in order to deliver an expert service to our schools.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting with the preparation of school level financial reports and budgets
  • Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Managing bank reconciliations
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations
  • Assisting with internal and external audit processes

We are looking for a committed person who has:

  • A good standard of education, including Maths and English GCSE or equivalent (Grade C)
  • AAT qualified and/or prior financial experience in a school setting
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organisational skills and a proactive, professionally curious approach
  • Excellent IT skills
