Human Resources Assistant
The Lumen Learning Trust is looking to appoint a permanent part-time HR Assistant to join our HR Team. This exciting role will support the Trust’s HR Manager with providing a range of administrative support services to assist effective and efficient HR, payroll and training & development across the Trust. The role requires working at pace and the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable but applications from those with experience outside of education will be considered.
We are looking for the right candidate to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have:
- GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in Maths & English
- Experience of working in an administrative environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use initiative to work independently as well as part of the HR team
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Good ICT skills in a range of applications and ability to learn new systems

Start Date: 2nd September 2025
Hours: 25 hours per week, to be worked between 8am and 4pm and over 5 days per week (Monday to Friday). Work pattern to be agreed on appointment.
40 weeks a year (term time plus 5 inset days and one additional week to be worked during school holidays).
Salary: PS5 £26,777 - £28,686 full time equivalent, £16,407 - £17,577 actual (salary dependent on experience). April 2025 pay award pending
Location: This post will be primarily based between The Echelford Primary School and Darley Dene Primary School
