This is an exciting role for anyone who is interested in coaching and developing youth sport.
The Lumen Learning Trust was established in Autumn 2013 as a natural development of the school-to-school support carried out by the leadership team at Saxon Primary. It currently consists of five member schools: Saxon Primary School in Shepperton, The Echelford Primary in Ashford, Riverbridge Primary in Staines-upon-Thames, Walton Oak in Walton-on Thames and Darley Dene in Addlestone.
We are looking to appoint a member of staff to support in the delivery of P.E. lessons across the five Lumen Learning Trust (LLT) schools. This role is supported by Sports Premium funding and therefore is a fixed term contract, expiring on 31st August 2025. There is the possibility that the contract will be extended subject to the funding from the DfE continuing.
We are looking particularly for someone who has:
- Experience of running and supporting physical activities with young people
- Sports coach experience, ideally in more than one sport
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- High level of personal and emotional resilience
- Lots of patience
- Capacity to be flexible
- Ability and confidence to use initiative whilst respecting advice from professionals
Working Hours: 18.75 hours a week (12:15 – 4:30 pm 3 days a week and 12:15 to 3:15 pm 2 days a week), term time only
Salary: £12,500 - £13,464 actual
