We are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity for an inspirational Maths specialist to join our friendly and talented team from August 2026. As a Head of Year/Pastoral Lead, this is a fantastic opportunity to take a highly visible role in leading on the vision and progress for students in a given year group, including all elements of pastoral and academic care.

This position would suit an ambitious mathematics teacher looking to rapidly develop their progress; you will either have existing leadership experience or the ambition to take your first steps into leadership. Regardless of experience we welcome applications from teachers who are inspiring and knowledgeable and want to make a real difference to the lives of our students to ensure they feel valued and that they can succeed.

Maths is a strong, well established faculty with students that enjoy their subject and are eager to learn. It is a very exciting time to join us at Lancaster; we are an 11-16 Academy with over 950 students on roll. We are delighted that in February 2024 Lancaster was graded good by Ofsted. From August 2018, we became co-educational admitting girls for the first time, with now over 350 girls on roll. This has added an exciting dimension and a new dynamic to the Lancaster community.
