We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and inspirational Lead Practitioner in Maths to further enhance teaching in both the Maths department and across the school. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an exemplary Maths teaching record and proven exam results. Experience of mastery in Maths would be a significant advantage. The Lead practitioner will be an outstanding teacher who will lead on improving Maths teaching skills through modelling of high-quality teaching, coaching and training of other members of staff to achieve first class outcomes for learners at all levels. This is a full-time permanent contract with a September 2024 start.

Lytchett Minster is a successful 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with approximately 1550 students, 288 of whom are in the successful sixth form. The learning environment is stunning with extensive and beautiful grounds; the school site is comprised of South Lytchett Manor House together with a number of modern extensions including the Arts block and theatre. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. The amendments to the ROA 1974 (Exceptions Order 1975, (2013 and 2020)) provide that when applying for certain jobs and activities, certain spent convictions and cautions are ‘protected’, so they do not need to be disclosed to employers, and if they are disclosed, employers cannot take them into account.
