Newtown Linford Primary School is a small school close to Bradgate Park which we use regularly to develop learning experiences.
We were recently awarded a £30,000 grant by Sport England to develop our school grounds further and are proud of how this has changed how our children use the outdoor space.
The school currently has 109 pupils on role and this number continues to rise. Children come from the village itself and a number of surrounding villages. For many families we are their school of choice a considerable distance from their catchment area due to our special nature.
Classes are organised depending on the numbers in each year group. We are a happy school with a very strong family feel. All of our children play together out of choice and enjoy taking care of each other.
Children move on from our school to a wide variety of Secondary schools and we work in close partnership with each school to ensure all children are offered a supportive transition.
We are part of the Bradgate Education Partnership
It was formed in collaboration with 11 local schools in Leicestershire who applied for MAT status to the Secretary of State for Education as a Multi Academy Trust in September 2016.The Trust currently has 15 schools in total, including two secondary schools.
They are committed to developing the local educational landscape within our primary and secondary schools through our unique autonomous model. They firmly believe that through collaboration and supportive challenge we can continue to support and develop further our academy Head Teachers and our Local Governing Bodies (LGB) to manage their own academies through our unique model.
They are also registered as an academy sponsor for other schools or academies who may approach them and they aim to help them to improve their standards and performance through our supportive model of leadership and school improvement. They fully expect all schools and academies to give their expertise as well as take support from the Trust, as and when required.
