North Star 180° is an all through provision which provides education to pupils aged 5-16 with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). We are situated in the BANES locality and benefit from nearby areas of natural beauty and extensive indoor and outdoor facilities offering ample opportunities for students to develop their skills in and outside of the classroom.
All our students have Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP) that identify SEMH as a primary need. Staff at North Star 180° are committed to providing an effective learning environment that aims to engage and inspire through lessons that take place in and out of the classroom. In our classes the individual needs of the children are paramount, and the staff have a deep understanding of each of the students in their class providing opportunities to learn in a variety of ways.
We are seeking an experienced teacher with management experience to support our Headteacher in maintaining and elevating the high standards of teaching and learning as well as in implementing effective initiatives to drive improvement. This role requires someone who is dynamic, challenging, and has practical experience working with SEMH students. As a successful candidate, you will help to develop staff, build strong teams, and support the Senior Leadership Team to strategically develop the curriculum and to rigorously monitor the impact to ensure that all pupils are able to access a purposeful, relevant and effective offer conducive to enabling them to lead fulfilling and successful lives in preparation for becoming active members of their communities.
