We have over 430 pupils at the school with a further 70 on roll at our nursery. Our aim is to provide all of our children with opportunities to experience a broad, balanced, exciting and rich curriculum. It is important that children experience a wide range of subjects and topics to unlock learning, identify skills and develop them.
Extra curricular experiences are important to us and we like to make use of our locality as well as organise trips and residentials.
We enjoy our sport at North Town and very much promote the importance of winning well and losing well, showing respect to other teams and officials and enjoying all the many events we take part in.
We are extremely lucky to have access to the college to make use of their facilities including their theatre, sports hall and field and classrooms.
The North Town community are extremely supportive and it is important to us that we work together to give the children the best education possible. It is vital that parents and carers are supported with how they can help with learning at home and we aim to invite parents to meetings so that they can learn about the teaching of phonics, reading, maths and much more.
Sorry, we are currently not recruiting for any vacancies
We would love you to join our Talent Pool so we can contact you when the right vacancy arises.
Our ethos allows children to become confident, successful learners in a welcoming, engaging, safe and holistic environment. Children have an excellent learning attitude and are resilient, well-rounded citizens who contribute to all aspects of school life.
Positive relationships are valued across the school community. We believe this should be supportive, trusting, nurturing, open and built on mutual respect where adults lead by example in line with the ethos of the school.
The organisations work closely together in order to provide a wide range of opportunities to ensure that all students maximise their potential and develop aspirations beyond their expectations. All our organisations are guided by a set of core values that clearly set out the expectations for all members of our community including our Church Schools.
The ambition is for all the organisations within Huish to retain their individual autonomy to best serve their local communities whilst also benefitting from the collective advantages of working closely with other like-minded partners.
The Richard Huish Trust consists of Richard Huish College, North Town Primary, Lyngford Park Primary, West Buckland Primary, Nerrols Primary and North Curry Church of England Primary School.
The Richard Huish Trust continues to grow – for more information about our schools and colleges visit https://www.huish.education/.
