Specialist Inclusion Teaching Assistant

Start date: ASAP

We are looking to appoint a full time Teaching Assistant, KS2 in the first instance, to work with Class Teachers to support pupils and provide high quality teaching and learning opportunities for all our children. Initially this appointment will be fixed term until 22nd July 2025. However, it is likely to be extended.

We are looking for applicants with:

- Experience of working with children with ASD and with pupils with individual needs

- A good understanding of child development and high quality learning

- An interest in being involved in all areas throughout the school

- A calm and measured nature and a good sense of humour

Nutfield Church Primary School is a one form entry Voluntary Aided school and an important part of a village community. We are proud of our school, where children are enthusiastic, staff are dedicated, and parents and carers are supportive. The school is set in extensive grounds which is an ideal setting for our children to play; we encourage outdoor learning through our Wellbeing curriculum and the development of our on-site farm.

The post of full time Teaching Assistant will be:

4.75 hours per day, for 5 days per week, term time only.

The hours will be 8.45am –10.45am, 11.00am – 12.00pm, and 1.30 – 3.15pm.

Pay is under the Surrey Pay Scale Grade 3, currently from £23,576pa (pro rata £13,243.44 pa for 23.75 hours per week, term time only, including 3 Inset days).
