Nythe primary school is a lively and happy school which is valued and well supported by our community. We became and academy on 1st February 2020 and are proud to be part of Excalibur Academies Trust.
As a one form entry primary school with our own nursery, we benefit from the virtues of a small school and are able to focus on the needs of each individual child and family. We offer children aged 2 to 11 the opportunity to play and learn in a caring environment based on mutual respect and the nurturing of a positive self-image. We have high expectations of our children and we are very proud of their achievements. We value the whole child and, as well as their academic skills, seek to develop a strong sense of responsibility for their behaviour and a respect for others.
The Excalibur Academies Trust is a family of schools with a community commitment to educational excellence, that prepares students for success in changing world through the promoting of tolerance, curiosity, independence and respect.
Our ethos and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
Our Values
We have six mascots who represent the values that we hope to develop in children throughout their time at Nythe:
Responsible Robin - I am a responsible citizen.
Respectful Raven - I am respectful of others.
Persistent Peacock - I never give up.
Safe Sparrow - I keep myself and others safe.
Friendly Falcon - I am a good friend.
Confident Cuckoo - I embrace change.
Our Vision
At Nythe Primary School, our vision is to be a learning hub for our community, seeking to enable children to love to learn and learn to love in a nurturing and challenging environment.
Mission Statement
Our school is a learning community that seeks to enable all of our children to achieve their academic, physical, social, moral and spiritual potential. Our school is a place of safety and support, which offers a curriculum that is challenging, stimulating and fun. We are committed to working in partnership with parents and carers, as well as a range of other organisations and support services, to ensure that our children and families receive the best experience possible throughout their time with us. Guided by our core values, we help children to prepare for the many opportunities and challenges that they will face in their future lives.
Nythe Primary School is proud to be part of Excalibur Academies Trust an academy trust of 14 schools providing excellent education to over 5000 children from age 2 to 18.
Excalibur’s vision is to empower individuals to develop and succeed in a caring, aspirational, progressive culture. We believe in investing in our workforce to ensure we attract and retain talented, dedicated people who are committed to changing children’s lives for the better. With a strong track record of raising the achievement of disadvantaged pupils, it is our mission to promote social mobility and personal fulfilment through the transformative power of education. Working for Excalibur Academies Trust means you are valued; we offer a supportive professional development programme and our leaders will inspire you to be the best you can be. We believe your wellbeing is paramount to your performance so offer a range of benefits to staff.
