Director of School Improvement (Primary)

A unique leadership opportunity

OAK Multi Academy Trust is looking for an exceptional primary leader for a new role that combines Head of School leadership with Trust wide school improvement.

OAK Trust is a high performing trust of five schools, with a strong focus on high quality teaching, instructional coaching and purposeful use of technology.

This role will initially be based at Overdale Infant School in Knighton, working closely with the Executive Headteacher and Trust leaders. Overdale Infant School and Overdale Junior School are based on the same site, offering a great opportunity to work closely across both schools.

You will lead the day to day running of Overdale Infant School while also supporting school improvement work across the Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ready for headship, or close to taking that next step.

About the role

For the first 18–24 months, you will:

• Lead the day to day operation of Overdale Infant School

• Drive high-quality teaching and learning

• Lead and develop staff

• Support collaboration across the Overdale schools

• Contribute to school improvement across OAK Trust

About you

We are looking for a strong primary leader who:

• Has a proven track record of improving outcomes

• Can lead and develop others

• Has high expectations for all pupils

• Is committed to inclusion

• Is ready for headship or close to it

You will be resilient, reflective and committed to making a positive difference.

Why join OAK Trust?

OAK Multi Academy Trust is committed to excellent outcomes for pupils while maintaining the individual identity of each school.

We invest in staff development through Steplab instructional coaching and our Frontiers digital strategy, helping both staff and pupils thrive.

Please refer to the OAK Candidate Information Pack for more information.

We’d be happy to show you around the Overdale site before you apply. Please email hr @oaktrust.org to arrange a visit.
