There is currently a vacancy for a Trustee with experience in the education sector, to support the delivery of the Trust’s vision, ethos and strategy in our journey in inspiring our students to achieve and flourish.
Becoming a Trustee is a strategic commitment which typically involves attending four full board meetings per year; between 5 and 8 hours per month. You will attend full board meetings and sit on a relevant committee (this would be the Curriculum and Standards Committee).
People from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Becoming a Trustee is an exciting opportunity to give back to the community, whilst also developing your professional skills and experience portfolio. A background in education is not a requirement, as a strong Trustee Board balances a mix of different backgrounds, skills and experiences. We particularly encourage applications from those will skills in HR, Finance, Marketing and Community Engagement.

The key functions of the board are:
• Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
• Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its children and young people, and the effective and efficient performance management of staff;
• Overseeing the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent
• Ensuring the voices of stakeholders are heard.
