The Governing Body wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, committed, and suitably experienced individual to lead and manage the daily operations of the school’s catering provision.
As the catering service is delivered in-house, all staff are directly employed by the school, providing a valuable opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the provision. The successful candidate will possess relevant experience within a kitchen environment, demonstrate strong organisational and leadership skills, and be capable of operating effectively within a busy and demanding setting. A high standard of customer service and the ability to engage positively with both pupils and staff are essential.
The Catering Manager is responsible for leading a diverse team, maintaining and developing a high-quality food offering, and ensuring the delivery of a consistently excellent service. The role requires the ability to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, well-balanced meals, alongside a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance. The successful candidate will also be expected to demonstrate initiative and vision in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation. In return, you can expect:
