Olchfa School is seeking to appoint an outstanding Pastoral Guidance Worker to join our friendly, forward-thinking and dedicated team. This is a demanding yet highly rewarding role, ideally suited to someone who is proactive, empathetic and skilled at supporting and guiding young people both individually and as part of a collaborative team.

The role is varied and engaging, encompassing everything from liaising with senior leaders and coordinating referrals with external agencies to supporting pupils with day-to-day challenges and helping them stay focused on their personal growth and academic success. Within our Pastoral team there is a wealth of experience, expertise and enthusiasm. We work collaboratively, share good practice and constantly seek to improve. We are looking for an equally committed, innovative and compassionate colleague who will help us continue to build on our success and contribute positively to our vibrant school community.

Pastoral Guidance Workers at Olchfa make a real difference every day. They work closely with pupils and their parents and carers to support progress, attendance and behaviour, and to ensure that every pupil receives the guidance and care they need to thrive. By offering consistent support and encouragement, our Pastoral Guidance Workers help each young person to realise their potential and achieve in line with the school’s ethos of high standards, wellbeing and aspiration for all.

At Olchfa, our aim is to provide a secure, inclusive and nurturing environment where every young person can flourish academically, socially and emotionally, and where they are encouraged to take an active role in school life and the wider community. For our staff, we offer a welcoming and positive workplace culture, opportunities for professional growth, a strong sense of teamwork and shared purpose and genuine recognition for a job well done.
