Olchfa is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team of learning support staff at our outstanding school. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the national ALN reforms, in a school that is leading the way in promoting inclusion.  Olchfa is part of the Innovation Schools Programme leading and shaping the design and development of the new curriculum in Wales to realise the vision outlined in Professor Donaldson’s Successful Futures.

We welcome applications from all levels of experience. The successful candidate may be someone returning to the workplace following a career break, or already have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary or secondary setting. We also welcome applications from candidates who may be considering a future route into teaching and wanting to gain some experience of working within a school.

Successful candidates will need to have a strong sense of empathy with young people and some of the challenges they face in their lives. We will provide ongoing training and development to support you in your role.

In return, you can expect:

Term time only employment (which means no school holiday working)

 Monday to Friday only (8.50am - 3pm daily)

 Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme

 Free on-site parking

 Subsidised use of our Calon Fitness Suite

 Subsidised Private Health Care

If you like the sound of this, then we would like to hear from you.  For an informal conversation, or for any further information on this post, please contact our Learning Support Manager, Olivia Kennedy.
