Abbeywood Community School are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Caretaker to become an integral part of our dynamic team. This full-time position involves working 37 hours per week, working weekdays. The shifts scheduled will be four days a week working, 10:30 to 18:30, and one day a week, 11:00 to 18:30.

The Caretaker will assist the Lead Caretaker and Facilities Manager in ensuring the safe and efficient management of all aspects of daily facilities operations at the academy. Responsibilities include site maintenance, non-structural repairs, heating, ventilation, safety, security, and maintaining cleanliness across the premises.

The ideal candidate will be professional, self-motivated, and capable of working independently using their initiative. They should thrive in a fast-paced, demanding role and bring a broad range of practical skills to support site maintenance and improvement works. Physical fitness is essential to manage the physically demanding responsibilities of the Caretaker role.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional organisational and time management skills. They will approach tasks with a logical, resourceful, proactive, and efficient mindset. Confident in communication, they will excel at building and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, always demonstrating a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
