As CEO of the Trust, I work with all our academies to provide the best possible educational opportunities for young people in the local area.

There are Headteachers in each school who are responsible for the day-to-day running of our schools as follows:

We encourage members of staff and students from our schools to work closely together.
We invest in creating shared leadership roles across the Trust in order to ensure consistency and the sharing of good practice. The Olympus Academy Trust is an opportunity to build on our well-established local links in the Concorde Partnership in which students learn together with students from the other centres and have done for a number of years.

In all our schools I enjoy seeing our dedicated and innovative staff teams work with each successive cohort of students to shape the culture and ethos of our schools so that each individual feels valued and has the opportunity to contribute. We look forward to getting to know our new students each year and seeing them grow in confidence as they settle in.

Our vision is to establish our schools at the heart of the community and to equip our students to be responsible individuals who are able to make a meaningful contribution to society. I am confident that our academy partnership enables us to offer the best learning experience for all associated with us in the local area. Visitors often comment on the positive relationships and the enthusiasm for learning they see in our schools, both of which are very important to us; we hope you will experience the inclusive atmosphere and feel welcome if you visit.

About Us

The Olympus Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust which was established at the start of 2012 to support local schools wanting to develop shared approaches to school improvement.

The Olympus Academy Trust is a partnership of schools, currently comprising nine South Gloucestershire schools; one all-through, three secondary and five primary academies.

The Trust aims to look after business and non-education functions so that schools can focus on learner outcomes and the well-being of their school community.

Olympus and its schools are state-funded and the Trust is directly accountable to the Education Funding Agency and the Department for Education.

The Trust has a Board of Trustees which oversees and monitors the work of the Trust’s schools via its Trust Central Leadership Team, Board Sub committees and the School Improvement Committees.
