Abbeywood Community School

Head of Year

Permanent, Full time

Pay Scale: Grade 8 - £31,586 - £34,314 FTE (£27,167 - £29,513  pro rata)

We are seeking a Head of Year. The role involves working closely with young people every day, supporting them with all aspects of their school life including their attendance and punctuality, behaviour, uniform, equipment, safeguarding and welfare and, ultimately, their success in school. You will have strong inter-personal skills because relationships with students, families and colleagues are at the heart of excellent pastoral care and they are a key strength of our school community: we care about every student and their family. You may have previously worked in a similar role, or you may be able to demonstrate in your current position that you are a great organiser, someone who is friendly and approachable, firm but fair and with lots of energy and patience! You should have strong communication skills and be able to understand, process and analyse data efficiently.

This is a permanent term time only position working 37 hours per week, Term time only plus INSETs.
