We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Post 16 coordinator to join our team at Winterbourne Academy on a Permanent Contract, starting as soon as possible. We would consider part time applications.
The post-holder will assist the Assistant Headteacher and Key Stage Lead to provide the best pastoral care and careers support for our post 16 students. There are approximately 300 students in our popular and successful KS5 provision, with learners studying A levels and vocational courses and where a large proportion progress to university or apprenticeships. Students have a bespoke area with common room, work spaces, computer facilities and a canteen and are both able to be separate from the main school as well as take part in and lead many aspects of whole school life. The Post 16 team consists of an Assistant Headteacher, KS5 Lead as well as a team of Academic Mentors - teachers - who work with students as tutors and academic support.
This role is focused on leading the pastoral and careers support for students within the wider Post 16 team and will be essential in ensuring the best support and provision is available for our Post 16 students.
