There is a TLR2a available for a suitable candidate for in charge of Health and Social Care.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching Social Sciences to (to include A Level Sociology, Level 2 and 3 BTec Health and Social Care) following Departmental Schemes of Work and relevant subject specifications.
• contributing to the development of departmental schemes of work and assessment;
• setting and marking homework according to school and departmental policies;
• integrating the development of key skills (numeracy, literacy and ICT) into their teaching;
• monitoring and assessing students according to departmental and whole school policies;
• contributing to departmental meetings;
• maintaining a safe and attractive learning environment.
• promoting the school's ethos and equal opportunities policy;
• contributing to the further development of whole school policies and practices;
• serving as a tutor with responsibilities for student academic tutoring, behaviour, welfare and guidance;
• carrying out appropriate school duties, including general lunchtime duties on a voluntary basis;
• promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for whom they have responsibility or with whom they come into contact;
• fostering business and community links;
• being willing to contribute to extra-curricular activities;
• promoting the school's ethos and equal opportunities policy;
