This appointment is for 7 ½ hours per week, working 12.00pm to 1.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only for 38 weeks of the year.

As a sports coach, you will deliver engaging sports and activities during lunchtimes with the opportunity to educate and inspire children through play. You will be responsible for planning and organising activities, ensuring the safety of the children and promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
This role will involve:
• preparing well-structured sports and physical activity sessions delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment
• supervise and interact with children, engaging them in physical activities during lunchtime
• be a positive role model, creating a fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children to participate in activities
• manage children’s behaviour to ensure a positive environment
• provide and facilitate safe and creative play
• administering first aid when necessary
The successful applicant will require lots of energy and enthusiasm, the ability to relate to children and work well within a team. You do not need to have any past experience but you do need to:
• be passionate about working with children and creating memorable experiences
• enjoy helping children play well together
• have an enthusiasm for sports with an encouraging and motivational approach
• be a role model for children
• be someone who learns fast and is willing to take part in training
• be a flexible team member who shows initiative
• have high aspirations for children
• experience in sports coaching or leading group activities would be an advantage
