Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our school. Rawlins has been part of the community for over 300 years. Despite the many educational changes over that time, our core mission remains: to inspire students to aspire and achieve by providing academic challenge and educational opportunity for all.
At Rawlins, we believe that every child is unique, possessing a range of talents that we aim to nurture and develop so that each student can grow into an active citizen of the future.
As a Church of England Academy, our work is rooted in the Christian values of compassion, wisdom and endurance. We strive to create an environment where students learn to be wise, compassionate and forgiving; to aim high, knowing that perseverance and hope are key; and to take responsibility for their actions. We encourage our students to serve both the school and the wider community.
Students at Rawlins thrive across a broad spectrum of extra-curricular activities — from creative and performing arts to sports and technological innovation. We also believe in giving back. Each year, our school raises funds for local, national and international projects.
I am proud of Rawlins’ inclusivity. We are a school that embraces everyone, as demonstrated by our specialised units for Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Our students work side by side in genuine friendship, growing into well-rounded individuals as a result.
In an ever-changing and challenging world, our goal is to equip students with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to succeed. We warmly invite you to visit us and discover what makes Rawlins special.
