Are you passionate about improving education for young people within the local community? Do you want to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children, staff, and families in this area? We are seeking a Chair of Governors for Rawlins, an 11–18 high school within Embrace Multi Academy Trust. This is a unique voluntary opportunity to lead the school’s dedicated and purposeful Local Governing Committee and help shape the future of a school that sits at the heart of its community.
This is a volunteer role and as Chair of Governors you will:
- Provide strategic leadership and support to the principal and senior leaders,
- champion the school’s vision, values, and commitment to excellence for all,
- Ensure the voices of students, staff, and the wider community are heard and valued,
- Work collaboratively with fellow governors and Embrace Multi Academy Trust to uphold high standards in education, wellbeing, and governance,
- Uphold the Christian ethos and character of the school, and the seven principles of public life (selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty, leadership)..
