A very warm welcome to Redland Green School.
We are a friendly, popular, inclusive and ambitious 11-19 school having established ourselves as one of the top performing state schools in the local area. Staff and students are rightly proud of their school and through our core values of Respect Ambition and Responsibility we are committed to ensuring the highest educational standards for our students.
Enabling a love of learning is at the heart of what we do at Redland Green. Students follow a carefully designed curriculum in a wide range of subjects. As students progress through the school they have further opportunities to personalise their curriculum. Our talented and experienced staff have a passion for their subjects and for developing students' understanding irrespective of their starting points. They ensure that each individual has classroom experiences that are relevant, motivating and stimulate a desire to learn and achieve.
Importantly, our school is built on the key foundations and core values of:
Respect | Ambition | Responsibility
Critical to the success of our school is our unwavering commitment to the whole child. Our pastoral system ensures that the physical and mental wellbeing of our students is paramount in establishing school as a safe and happy place to attend. Our experienced special education team ensures that effective support is put in place for students with a range of additional learning needs. We believe in our responsibility to guide our students to be able to make good decisions and to demonstrate kindness, respect and tolerance both in and out of school.
Beyond the classroom we are committed to providing students with a full range of activities and experiences to enrich their time at school. Our enrichment curriculum in KS3 is in addition to the many co-curricular opportunities in sport, music, performing and creative arts. We also believe in providing opportunities for students to take on additional responsibilities and leadership roles. This could be as student president, a prefect or house captain, sports captain or subject ambassador. We ensure that there are many opportunities for our students to involve themselves in the wider leadership of our school.
Redland Green is a genuine 11-19 school with many students progressing to our highly successful Post-16 provision as part of the North Bristol Post 16 Centre. Students opt to study from a wide range of courses and we are proud of their success in securing destinations at University, higher level apprenticeships and employment.
Above all we are ambitious for each individual student and want them to truly enjoy their time at Redland Green School. Students are afforded the opportunities, provision and care so they can be the best versions of themselves enabling them to make a positive impact on society and lead happy purposeful lives.

Founded in 2012, Excalibur Academies Trust has grown from two schools in Marlborough, Wiltshire, to 20 schools reaching from Bristol to Reading along the M4 corridor, providing high quality education to 10,000 children from age 2 to age 18. Our vision is to provide an all-through education in local hubs, with a focus on the best teaching, a broad and exciting curriculum and an outward-facing global perspective. We believe in investing in our staff to ensure we attract and retain talented, dedicated people who are committed to changing children’s lives for the better. With a strong track record of raising the achievement of disadvantaged pupils across the trust, it is our mission to promote social mobility and personal fulfilment through the transformative power of education.
