We are currently looking for a Finance/Personnel Officer to work, as part of the administration team, in supporting the school in attaining its financial and personnel aims and objectives.
The position is for 36 hours per week to be worked over five days, for 39 weeks per year, in term time only. Hours will be 8.30 am and 4.30 pm.
The pay scale is PS6 (£30,647 - £32,867 FTE) pro rata £26,365 - £28,275 per annum.
Financial Administration duties include assisting the School Business Manager with the delegated period end reconciliation, processing all purchase orders, ensuring that invoices are authorised for payment and BACS/cheques runs are produced for signature. Reconciling the School Fund account on a monthly basis and preparing the year-end reports for auditing. All financial information must be kept up to date, accurate and complies with relevant legislation and policy.
Personnel Administration includes supporting the School Business Manager in the organisation of recruitment, raising contracts including collecting all references, maintaining the register of Disclosure and Barring Checks and having responsibility for the Single Central Register for all staff and volunteers.
It is essential to have financial experience, strong administration skills and be able to work flexibly in a busy office environment. A sound knowledge of ICT is required as well as strong interpersonal skills.
