Christ Church St Peters CofE Primary School

Learning Support Assistant

Part Time, Permanent 32.5 Hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Grade 5, £18,349 - £18,640 (£24,408- £24,795 FTE per annum)

An exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant has become available within ‘The Nest’ at Christ Church St Peters CofE Primary School. The Nest is a specialist provision for those young people with an Educational Health Care Plan for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).

The post will provide support for teaching and learning and will include working both in classes and with small groups or individual pupils. The role includes supporting and developing pupils’ social and emotional needs. You may also deliver individualised programmes of support to children to develop their emotional literacy and self regulation.

We warmly invite applications from people who strongly believe that they would like to make a difference to young people. We welcome applications from people who feel they can attune to young people and those that have an understanding of some of the many things that may present as a barrier for a young person to access education. It would also be really helpful if you have some (only needs to be a little) understanding of what learning in a mainstream classroom looks like.

In return we can offer:

· A nurturing environment with enthusiastic and amazing young people

· A team of friendly, highly skilled and supportive staff colleagues

· A comprehensive induction plan

· Excellent professional development and networking opportunities

· The chance to be part of a forward thinking, innovative school

· An ambitious Trust which is growing

Further details about the responsibilities for the role are detailed in the enclosed job description

Close Date: Friday 28th February 2025 at 12 noon.
