An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and ambitious colleague to take on the role of Head of Humanities at The Roundhill Academy. This is a full time, permanent position and would suit an experienced teacher or an aspirant senior leader seeking to take the next step in their career.

The successful candidate will lead a committed team of subject specialists across Geography, History and Religious Studies, while also teaching Geography preferably as their main subject.

As Head of Humanities, you will:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across the Humanities faculty.

• Teach a Humanities subject ideally Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.

• Lead a hard working and collaborative team in delivering high quality teaching and learning across Geography, History and Religious Studies.

• Drive improvements in curriculum design, assessment, and student outcomes.

• Work closely with Senior Leaders to ensure consistency, high standards and continued progress across the wider department.

The ideal candidate will;

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• Has the ability to teach a Humanities subject confidently at KS3 and KS4, preferably Geography

• Demonstrates strong leadership skills, with experience of implementing change and driving progress.

• Is an enthusiastic team player who can inspire both staff and students.

• Shows commitment to raising standards and delivering an engaging, inclusive Humanities curriculum.
