Our school is a vibrant, happy and successful two form entry school which opened its doors with our first Reception classes in September 2015 and moved into our brand new building in September 2016.

Our motto ‘Believe Achieve Succeed’ embodies our ambitious aspirations for all our children.

We have the highest expectations and enable all our children to achieve their full potential regardless of background or starting point. Our classes have a high proportion of Learning support assistants who provide either additional class support or small withdrawal groups.

We promote a strong safeguarding culture and believe in keeping all children safe and protecting them.

Our curriculum is broad, balanced and made relevant to the needs of our children as they grow up in the 21st Century. We believe that children learn best when they are engaged, happy and have a clear purpose for their learning. We have a high focus on literacy and numeracy but with a well- resourced enrichment programme which extends beyond the school day and a structured play based learning environment for our younger children. We place great value on enhancing understanding with real life experiences and strive to deepen learning with a rich social, moral, spiritual and cultural programme.

We are very closely linked to Sidney Stringer Academy, the secondary school and share the same values and ambition, a high commitment to ensuring that pupils achieve their maximum potential.

We are a Free school which is part of a Multi Academy Trust led by Sidney Stringer Academy. Our vision is to provide an outstanding primary school for parents and children in the local area. We aim to improve the future lives of our pupils and work closely with the community to achieve this.

We support parents who want to work and so we run a longer school day for those that want it from 8am to 5pm with activities before and after school that support and extend the curriculum.

We believe that all pupils regardless of their starting point can achieve if they are taught well and are supported effectively. The staff that work in our Free school all subscribe to this and buy into our ethos of doing everything we can to make this happen.

Sidney Stringer Multi Academy Trust have five schools in our trust and have worked together for a number of years for the benefit of all of our pupils. The schools are Primary, Secondary and Special schools with over 3400 pupils and we employ over 600 teaching and support staff.
