About Us

South Marston C of E Primary School is a popular oversubscribed village primary school located to the East of Swindon.  We have served the community of South Marston for over 140 years; today families from surrounding areas also choose our school because of its reputation, its traditions and its Christian background.

The staff and governors of our school aim to provide a happy, secure and stimulating environment; our mission statement is "Achievement for all". We foster a family ethos where everyone is valued and makes a unique contribution to the life of the school.

Our Values

Our school values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

Our Mission Statement is 'Achievement for all'

Proverbs 8:11: "For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it."

We believe in living "life in all its fullness".  We do this through our values of:

Wisdom, Dignity, Hope and Community.

We believe learning creates wisdom; kindness fosters community; opportunities give hope; and respect brings dignity.

School Values

During Collective Worship (Assembly) , which takes place every day, we teach the children about the following Christian Values, which we believe have an important part to play in everyone's lives, whether Christian or not. Through Bible stories we teach our children to be tolerant of others who may have different beliefs to our own.

  • Generosity

Working for The Blue Kite Academy Trust

We believe our schools should be vibrant, friendly places where the children are at the heart of everything we do.

We believe in teaching skills, sharing knowledge and building special memories that children will take with them through the rest of their lives.

We believe that through inspirational teaching, determination, a lot of love and a lot of laughter, the children in our schools can achieve their greatest potential, regardless of their starting points in life.

We believe in teaching, modelling values and preparing them for life in the 21st Century and we believe that in doing so we will give them a solid foundation for their future.
