Office Manager - St Matthias (Fishponds, Brentry and Rush Hill)
Grade 6, SCP 18 - 22. FTE £29,269 - £31,364 (Actual Salary £26,494 - £28,390)
37 hours per week, 5 days a week
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
Term time and 5 inset days plus 2 additional weeks

Join our dynamic educational institution as an Office Manager, responsible for overseeing administrative operations across three school sites. As the Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning, fostering a positive working environment, and supporting the overall efficiency of our educational facilities.
St Matthias Academy Alternative Provision is a multi-site provision; 2 sites in Bristol & 1 in Bath, which provides education for pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion. Depending upon need, pupils here may return to mainstream schools, be referred to specialist provisions, join an ALP or complete GCSE examinations.
St Matthias Academy has a friendly, skilled and dedicated team that works together to make a significant difference to young, disaffected pupils often from disadvantaged backgrounds. The successful candidate would gain experience from the academy’s close working relationship with social services, Bristol & Bath SEND, EPs, Speech and Language therapists, Empire boxing gym, Rocksteady and other agencies for young people.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily administrative tasks across three school sites.
- Facilitate communication between staff, parents, and leadership.
- Maintain organised records and assist in event coordination.
- To manage effective overall administration to the school over three sites to meet the schools aims and goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous office management or administrative experience.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with educational environments is a plus.
- Evidence of a good basic education, including Maths and English.
- Able to use a range of ICT packages.
- Ability to strategically influence decision making.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to constructively challenge the work of self and others to continually improve own and team performance
