🍎📚 Join our Team at Emersons Green Primary School (BS16) as a Teaching Assistant 📚🍎

Start Date: 29th April 2024

Salary: Grade 10, £24,702 - £25,979 FTE per annum (Actual Salary based on weeks worked and hours: £10,049.28 - £10,568.79 p.a.)

Contract: Temporary linked EHCP funded child support.

Hours: 17hours 30 minutes (Monday to Friday 9.15am – 12.45pm) Term Time only including INSET days (39 weeks)

The Role:

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated person to the position of teaching assistant.

The contract is temporary to support a statemented child, therefore will cease when funding ends or the child leaves the school. 

The successful candidate will:

  • Have NVQ3 / HLTA / L3 qualification or equivalent
  • Have experience and /or qualifications in working with pupils with Special Needs and be willing to undertake further professional development.
  • Be competent in the use of IT.
  • Be flexible and versatile in a rapidly changing work environment.
  • Enjoy working closely with colleagues as part of an effective team.
  • Be highly motivated and well organised.
  • Have high expectations of all children in every aspect of school life
  • Have an understanding of inclusion

Fluency Duty:

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
