Our science facilities are the heart of our school, where curiosity is sparked, and knowledge is deepened. We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to work Mondays and Tuesdays during term time (plus four days during the holidays) to join our team and help bring science to life for our students.
The role will include:
- Laboratory Preparation: Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for science lessons, ensuring all experiments run smoothly and safely
- Supporting Lessons: Assisting teachers during practical lessons, providing technical support and guidance to students
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment, ensuring all items are in good working condition and properly stored
- Safety Management: Implementing and upholding Health and Safety standards in the laboratory, conducting regular safety checks and risk assessments
- Resource Management: Managing inventory of materials, and equipment, ordering supplies as needed to ensure the labs are well-stocked

Sir William Perkins’s School is a high-performing, academically selective, independent girls’ school for approximately 600 students aged 11 – 18 years. The Head is both a member of HMC and GSA. It is located on an attractive 12- acre site situated on the outskirts of Chertsey, a two-minute walk from the railway station and very near to the junction of the M3 and M25.
