The senior leadership team and governors at Loatlands Primary School are looking to recruit a Site Supervisor to join our team who is keen to make a difference and assist with maintaining the premises and grounds to a high standard.

Loatlands Primary School is a two-form entry Primary school with a Nursery that serves a diverse community in the town of Desborough. We are proud to offer an exceptional learning environment that focuses on the whole child which includes Forest School for all ages and OPAL Play. Our bespoke curriculum provides our children with a broad range of learning opportunities, including wider experiences designed to foster life-long learning.

We were graded as ‘Good’ in our latest Ofsted inspection, March 2022. 

Job overview

As a key part of our site team, you’ll have responsibility for general site maintenance, using a varied skillset to carry out tasks such as repairs and maintenance tasks, liaising with contractors, compliance tasks, cleaning, refilling consumables, painting and decorating and manual handling, as well as ensuring the site is in a good condition for all to work and learn effectively.  The role is for 20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year and will involve some working in the school holidays.  Hours are flexible for the right candidate.  

Job requirements

Minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, or equivalent qualifications

Good standard of maintenance and DIY experience with an understanding of health and safety parameters

Experience of working within an operational environment to provide day-to-day maintenance support

Ability to prioritise and plan own workload
