About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, talented and experienced Teacher of Drama to join our successful team from January 2027 to cover maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for Drama during a key stage in the department's development. The successful candidate will teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE groups following the AQA specification, and will play a central role in maintaining the high standards already established within the subject.

With outstanding specialist facilities, including a Drama Studio, Activities Studio and a state-of-the-art school hall with retractable seating, this role offers an excellent environment in which to inspire young performers and develop a thriving extra-curricular programme. The successful candidate will also support the school's annual production of Beauty and the Beast in February 2027.

The successful candidate will:

• Have outstanding subject knowledge and a passion for Drama.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom practice and the ability to teach AQA GCSE Drama confidently.
• Be able to teach English at least to KS3 level, with GCSE teaching desirable.
