One of London’s liveliest boroughs. Life revolves around the Thames, with the buzzing market town of Kingston being the main attraction. Kingston High Street runs parallel to the Thames so it many of its favourite restaurants are found situated along the banks of the riverside.
With the popular Kingston University based here there is an abundance of bars and clubs to entertain the vibrant student population and younger residence.
Kingston upon Thames is one of the greener areas of the capital with two royal parks in neighbouring Richmond upon Thames. Local parks hold facilities to cater for all those who enjoy the great outdoors, such as Canbury Gardens which is home to the Kingston Rowing Club boathouse and is in turn a great spot for fishing.
Only half an hour from central London it has excellent train links. Situated near to the A3 and M25 it is also easily accessible by car. The river bus as an excellent alternative to get into Canary Wharf and London Bridge.
Wimbledon Championships - In the neighbouring Merton bordering Kingston, the world famous Wimbledon Championships takes place. Indulge yourself in summer fun with a spot of Pimms, and Strawberries and Cream.

Kingston Markets - Hunt for bargains in Kingston’s 800 year old markets.

An educational charity founded in 2012 by three prominent local civic institutions: Kingston University, Kingston College and the Royal Borough of Kingston.
Our heritage has meant that from the outset we benefited from an experienced and knowledgeable leadership base, with a trust board including seasoned educational professionals. In addition, our partnership with our members provides us with genuine differentiation from other local secondary schools with access to a range of opportunities from art exhibitions in the College gallery, school productions in the college theatre, joint projects with Design and Engineering students and university immersion days.
KET initially established The Kingston Academy, a new non-selective free secondary school, serving its local community in north Kingston. The school opened with its first Year 7 intake in September 2015 and the Sixth Form welcomed its first Year 12 students in September 2020.
In January 2022 KET converted to a multi academy trust and was delighted to welcome Fern Hill Primary School, located next door to The Kingston Academy, into the trust.
